Staying Motivated in difficult times

24th November 2020        10:30 am

The last 7-8 months have been difficult for many. And whilst some people managed to pull through the difficulties, there are still many who are struggling to stay motivated to even get out of the bed in the morning.

Many people don't realise that motivation is an ongoing process and reading a quote that might seem life changing is not going to make a difference unless this is followed by set of actions and daily habits however small.

At this 60-75 minute Workshop we will look at different needs we all have and how these can be used as motivators and also how to create a tailored plan to stay on track and move towards a desired outcome, whatever that means to each individual.

As helpful as coaching tools are, the uniform approach will never resonate with everyone and where people find it difficult to stay motivated it's extremely important to ensure the approach is unique to every individual.

We will look at variety of phrases and frames you can work with to enable you to tailor your approach.

The workshop will be a mixture of presentation and discussion to give you the most out of your time.

Coaching Skills Practice

Tuesday 8th Dec. 2020        10-12am

Coaching is an amazing learning process when done correctly. You don't have to be a professional coach to be able to use those skills in motivating others however as with any skills, practice is important.

At this session we will go through a coaching process after which you will be able to practice those skills, be coached yourself and give constructive feedback.

Even though coaching has a structure, it is important to make this process as seamless as possible and tailored to individuals 'language'

Before this session, you will receive questions (a handout from Thursday Brunch Quickie mini session) so you don't have to come up with questions yourself.

There will be a lot of practicing in pairs or three's so you can feel confident next time you coach your client.

Maximum number of attendees for this workshop is 12 so you can get the most out of the session.

Dealing With difficult Behaviour

Tuesday 15th Dec. 2020        10-11am

This is an extended session from the Thursday Brunch Quickie.

We will look at different personality types and possible clashes which are often the cause of difficult behaviour. People often don't realise that we all process information in different way. Some people need and element of fun in whatever they, others just want to get on with their work.

Understanding different personality traits will help you communicate effectively and adapt your communication style to their needs.

To be able to to this you need good listening skills which we will also cover at this session. And it's not just what you hear that is important. Body language is a big part of understanding not only in face to face conversations. (You wouldn't lie down in fetal position if you had an important phone call, would you?)

Skills you will learn at this workshop are transferable and will help you whenever you find yourself dealing with a difficult behavour.
